1.3-cup Square Airtight Food Storage Container 5 5 3 3
perfect for breakfast I've been using these little containers to bring my breakfast of oatmeal in to work for years now. They are the perfect size for a single serving. After daily usage, none of the hinges have broken and all of them are in great shape. 100% leakproof and microwave safe. Love them. December 3, 2012
It is the best for wet foods in sack lunches!! These containers (and the next size up too) are the most brilliant and SECURE boxes for transporting wet or semi wet foods. The instructions SAY they are not meant to be turned upside down. Still, my teenage daughter takes them for school lunches every day now--cut up fruit; salads; and I'll even put a tiny dressing container within the "square airtight" box. We have never had even close to a spill. They have even spent (unfortunately) a whole weekend in her backpack because she forgot to unload. No drips. No smells. And the best part is they come squeaky clean in the dishwasher! Ordering more right now. August 25, 2012
The Test of Time I bought my first set of Snapware about four or five years ago. Liked it so well, I went back and bought a second set. The 1.3 cup size is great for portion control, snacks, lunches, left overs, etc. I use them a lot. -The seal system works. -Even my friend with long nails can manage the lids. -The square shapes are excellent for packing for camping, picnics, and lunch as well as tidy storage when empty. (Goodwill got all my round stuff!) -Fine in the dishwasher. I've even put some of the bigger pieces on the lower shelf. All is well. -Sturdy. I wondered about the tabs breaking off. Well, the only one I lost was on a rather large one dropped taking it out of the freezer. Hit just right (wrong?) and snapped. I still use it because the three sides clamp things down tight. Might not transport anything "goopy" in it but it is just fine. As stated I use them for transporting food, and storing food in the frig and freezer. I also use them for storing dry food stuffs like flour, sugar, cornmeal, pasta, beans, etc. If it comes home in a bag, it goes in a Snapware. I can see what it is and everything stacks neatly in the pantry. If cooking instructions are necessary, I cut that bit off the label and put it in the container on top of the goods. I've seen similar items in off price stores but they are not as well made. I doubt their durability. January 11, 2012
