No whistle, just a mess.

The tea kettle is the right size but steam comes out everywhere but the whistle- the fill cover and around the spout cover. The pressure never builds up enough to make the whistle whistle. I bought this tea kettle because of the whistle and am so disappointed. Don't buy it unless you want to steam clean the area around the stove. My last tea kettle burned up because it did not have a whistle, I guess that is going to happen again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this tea kettle for my father, 91 years old. The kettle does not whistle, the hot water pours out very messy from the spout, and it is difficult to open and close the pouring spout--the triger is very difficult to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This Tea Kettle will not rust

I have owned a Revere Tea Kettle for close to 40 years. I love it, and it has never given me a problem. My parents moved into a new house that had the glass cook top, so their old Revere kettle wouldn't work, and they got a different brand.
I had tea at their house, and it tasted very bad, and it turned out that in just a year, they had rust on the inside of their kettle!!
That very day I ordered the new Revere kettle for them. We know it will last, not rust, and it has a pleasant whistle!!
I would recommend this to a friend!
