My mother had one of these, and I wouldn't have anything else. My daughters all prefer it as well. I can't imagine my kitchen without my tea kettle.

I recently remodeled my kitchen in retro 50s style. I love that this tea kettle looks pretty much as it did back then. Shiny stainless steel body and a copper bottom. But I am disappointed in the cheesy plastic mechanism that opens the pour spout. My fear is eventually it will break and in order to use the kettle it will have to be removed making the whistle feature useless.

My mother had been wanting a Revereware kettle for years, to replace the one that she broke about a decade ago. Perhaps a tea kettle isn't the most sentimental of Christmas presents, but she absolutely loved it! Thank you!

We are kind of surprised there is no warranty on the tea kettle, you would think being Revere Ware, there would be, like a lifetime warranty or something. This new one replaces one we just bought from you three years ago. The whistle broke, it didn't need cleaning, the outer part of the whistle actally cracked, so steam would be released eleiminating the whistle. I have been using revere copper pots and pans all our married life, and we will be married 60 years this year...same ones, only replaced one pot and lid, over these many years.

My husband and I have been using this brand kettle for over 43 years. Very durable, very dependable, great whistle. At one point, we tried several other brands and nothing compared to our copper bottomed kettle. We also own Revere pots and pans and they always perform and last for decades. We really like the Revere products. Gladly recommend this product to everyone.

I bought this to replace an older model that had rusty screws after 20 years of use. My old one said Made in Korea and this one says Made in China. The design appears to have changed only in that the opening for water looks a little different. That difference makes a big difference, though--even when water got way hotter than I'd like for my tea, and steam was puffing out the hole in the lid, the kettle did not whistle. I gave it a shake, which used to make the other kettle whistle, and still only the faintest sound emerged. The rustling water sound, followed by a whistle when I swirled the water, used to be my way of testing whether the water was hot enough. Guess I'll have to pay more attention and grab this kettle fast, because at least with only a couple of cups of water in it, it doesn't whistle. I'm keeping it because I still like the all in one design better than kettles with a separate lid. Perhaps it is louder when fuller?

This was just a replacement for the one I have always had since 1969. My special needs daughter who loves tea forgot to take it off the stove and guess what she burnt the bottom so badly that was flaking on the inside. I am so glad that this teakettle is still around.

wonderful to haves new kettle. At first it seemed not to whistle loud enough and we ran the risk of (again)boiling it dry and melting the cap. With time, it has gotten louder. I wondered if there were a way to adjust the loudness of the whistle...now I must remember to keep it polished and clean glad to find it inline at a reasonable price.

My large stockpot is so old it has metal handles! our 12" frypan is scorched at 8 o'clok but still in service. the two 1cup measuring cups are over thirty years old in excellent condition and this 3.5 quart wonderful teakettle must be 13 years old if it is a day . the rear handle support bolt just rusted off! I do need to get that tiny{ity bity} stump of bolt out! no one i know makes an {EASY-OUT) this small?
