Spicy Flank Steak
Makes 4 ServingsFlank steak is a very flavorful cut of meat. Make sure you marinate it well and then slice it in thin strips for serving. You'll enjoy every bite!
Ingredients
1 recipe Lentil Salsa
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp molasses
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp vinegar
1/4 tsp Tabasco sauce
1 lb flank steak, or other cut of steak
Directions
- Combine mustard, honey, molasses, garlic, vinegar and Tabasco. Rub mixture into flank steak. Refrigerate overnight.
- At serving time, spoon Lentil Salsa over bed of lettuce.
- To cook steak, preheat broiler and broil approximately 3 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let rest 10 to 15 minutes in warm oven before carving.
- To serve, slice steak diagonally across grain in thin slices. Serve on top of Lentil Salsa.
