Spicy Flank Steak

Makes 4 Servings

Flank steak is a very flavorful cut of meat. Make sure you marinate it well and then slice it in thin strips for serving. You'll enjoy every bite!

Ingredients

1 recipe Lentil Salsa
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp molasses
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp vinegar
1/4 tsp Tabasco sauce
1 lb flank steak, or other cut of steak

Directions

  1. Combine mustard, honey, molasses, garlic, vinegar and Tabasco. Rub mixture into flank steak. Refrigerate overnight.
  2. At serving time, spoon Lentil Salsa over bed of lettuce.
  3. To cook steak, preheat broiler and broil approximately 3 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let rest 10 to 15 minutes in warm oven before carving.
  4. To serve, slice steak diagonally across grain in thin slices. Serve on top of Lentil Salsa.
