Devilled Artichoke and Ham Spread

Makes 8-10 Servings

Have lots of this on hand when company comes and it will disappear in no time!

Ingredients

1 (14oz) can artichoke hearts
1 cup finely diced ham
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup diced sweet or dill pickle or sliced olives (optional)
1 tbsp chopped fresh basil or 1 tsp dried
1 tsp Russian-style mustard
1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Drain artichokes. Chop artichokes finely, either by hand or in food processor.
  2. In mixing bowl, combine artichokes, ham, Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, pickles, basil, mustard and Worcestershire.
  3. Spoon into buttered 1 1/2 quart casserole.
  4. Bake in preheated 325 °F oven 30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  5. Serve hot or lukewarm with crackers and fresh vegetables.
