Broccoli Chinese Style

Makes 4 Servings

A really tasty and quick way to dress up broccoli. Delicious served with grilled steak or salmon.

Ingredients

1 lb broccoli
3 tbsp soya sauce
4 tbsp water
2 tsp grated fresh ginger root
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp brown sugar
1 tbsp olive oil

Directions

  1. Wash broccoli and slice lengthwise so that the stems are thin.
  2. To make sauce, combine soya sauce, water, ginger, garlic and sugar in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Heat oil in large skillet or wok. Stir-fry broccoli in oil for 3 minutes. Add sauce, stir well, put lid on pan and allow broccoli to steam for 3 to 5 minutes, or until tender.
  4. Serve with sauce.
