Great for freezer storage
I'm very happy with this purchase. I bought 8 of this size & some smaller ones. They are great for freezing dishes of soup when you make a large batch. They stack very well in the freezer. And they even stack quite well empty in the cupboard. Of course it's not as compact as plastic, but you aren't taking the chance of plastics leaving into your food either. Great prices, quick delivery & nothing was broken in shipment. Thank you!

It is compact, good looking & functional.
I have little storage space in my kitchen. Germany appliances are smaller than the US ones. This dish is compact and functional to fit both in my small microwave oven as well as my regular oven. Since it has a lid, I can also save left overs in it, covering it with it's own lid. I can place other thinks on top of it in my rather small frig. I can also store it in the oven when not in use. Combined with the Pyrex functionality, it is an ideal kitchen must have.

great improvement over my treasured 5-cup Pyrex rounds
These well designed rectangular storage dishes are far easier to fit and stack in rectangular refrigerators. The plastic lids now have a gasket inside which guarantees a tight fit. Even the steam vent has been improved, one end staying soundly in place as you open the other. (Pushing the vent from the inside works best for arthritic hands like mine.) And for those of you who appreciate small aesthetic details, the glass now has the most subtle green-bottle-glass tint, reminiscent of old Coke bottles. Never thought I'd be glad to give up my old "5-cups" from the 80's.

Perfect size, durable, easy stacking
As a personal chef, I use many different types of storage containers for my clients. I like this product because of it's size.
I like using glass containers over plastic. I have a large selection of pyrex storage containers with lids. I love the fact that you can freeze, store and heat food in them.
