Great size for storage or mixing
I love these bowls, especially now that I also have lids for them- they're just the right size for leftover chili, or that last quart or two of chicken and dumplings, after Sunday dinner. We're in the process of swapping out our old, nasty plastic food storage containers, and these have taken the place of some pretty iffy plastic tubs, much to my delight- the leftovers taste better, stuff can be reheated right in the bowls, plus we can see what's in the bowls much more easily than we ever could with the old system. The lids for these are also a delight- if you buy some of these, get the lids, because they're excellent, too! I would recommend these for any kitchen.

Excellent multi purpose bowl
Setting up a small apartment for part time use and this bowl filled a number of needs. Great as a mixing bowl, but also nice enough to serve in as well.
