  • Q:

Is this mug quite light to handle as my mother is elderly and I was looking for the same material as the plates but reading the threads, you don't make mugs in the same material, only stoneware.

      A:

It weighs about 10 oz. and is very sturdy. My husband has a plastic mug the same size and it only weighs 3 oz. So it may be a little heavier than a regular cup.

  • Q:

Is this product manufactured in the United States of America?

My wife and I are looking to buy 12 place settings of Correlle, but we haven't found any sets in which the mugs still made in the USA, which has been disappointing. Are there any sets left that are completely manufactured in the USA (i.e. 5 piece place settings sets)? Or for that matter, are there any mugs still made in the USA? We love Correlle because it is durable, affordable, and made in the USA; but if we can't get the 'made in USA' part any more for the whole set, then we may have to just save our money and buy something more expensive that is.

      A:

Thank you for your question, David. We currently do not offer any sets with mugs that are manufactured in the USA. They are all manufactured in Thailand or China at this time. We do offer a few pattern that do not include any mugs, which would allow you the flexibility of finding mugs from another manufacturer that produces stoneware in the USA. We don't have information available on whether there are still mugs made in the USA.

  • Q:

Hello. We have been trying to buy a Corelle set , but here in Guatemala the mug that the set comes with is made in China and doesn't says the same specifications than the plates. Also the color is a bit darker wich is very obvious that is not the same quality. Says in the box that everything is made in use but is not. If we order them with you, can you guaranty me that the set we want to buy everything would be same quality?

      A:

We are sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction with the mugs that coordinate with our CORELLE dinnerware patterns.

Marketing info has shown that consumers are more interested in the cups that are made of stoneware. This allows the product to be mixed and matched.

CORELLE's glass lamination process is terrific for making plates and bowls, but unfortunately does not work well for mug shapes. That's why we offer decorated ceramic cups or generously proportioned solid color stoneware mugs using better quality glazes than what is typically offered on stoneware tableware.
