Very disappointing
Replacement lid is tinted blue/green and smaller than the original, so the lid shifts around. Because of a manufacturing defect, the knob is crooked to about a 20+ degree angle. I called for a replacement replacement lid, and now I have 2 of them!

I love Corningware
I have long enjoyed ceramic serving dishes of all types. I much prefer Corningware or Pyrex over any others. However, overall I prefer pottery dishes and plates.
As a potter, I love porcelain which is what Corningware is made from. I understand the properties of ceramic products over glass, plastic or metal. But, you really need to pay attention to the quality of the pottery ware you use. Like all things, quality is going to out last and out perform anything else.

Just what I was looking for

It works fine!
Although this new lid didn't as tight as the original one, it still works fine. I can use my 1 and 1/2 qt. pyrex dish again which is one of my favorites. The price was reasonable and much preferable to tin foil.

Arrived quickly and in perfect condition
This glass cover for my Corning ware 1 1/2 qt. round baking dish arrived a few days after I ordered it, packed very well, and without a chip or a crack. It fits the dish perfectly and is exactly what I wanted.
