Pretty butter dish but it is ceramic, not Corelle!

Disappointed that this item is ceramic and not Corelle. The glaze on the base had lumps so world kitchen sent me a replacement. the replacement had a similar glaze problem but on the cover, so I do finally have a good set.
World Kitchen was great and very prompt with the replacement. Wish this item was made of Corelle, not ceramic. As much as this item is in and out of the refrigerator, i am worried that the finish will not withstand the temp changes and dishwasher.

I love the Shadow Iris pattern. The "Coordinates" are not made of the same material. They are a pretty good match, but the china has a warmer hue than the Bright White of the plates. The Bright White is spectacular with the Shadow Iris pattern.
I wish all the additional pieces were made of the same material as the plates.

This piece is NOT Corelle, but ceramic (my own fault for not reading the description closely). It is also hand painted, which I normally love. However, the piece I received looks as if it were painted by a kindergarten class. I think this is the first item with the Corning label that has ever disappointed me. But, it IS a butter dish, and it WILL work nicely for that purpose, therefore I could not give this item only 1 star.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Little knob on top cannot be grasped.

The butter dish is nice to look at, but the little knob on the top is too small to be useful. It is most difficult to lift the lid by using it, even by my wife who has small hands.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
