Insignia Steel 18-pc Block Set is perfect!
My son hasn't had a chance to see how the knife set performs yet, but he stated on opening it that it is "perfect.... What a great gift!" He wanted a set that is dishwasher safe. I based the purchase on appearance, description, and over 70 great reviews, with only a few minor complaints.

Great knife set!
These knives are sharp and stay sharp for a long time. If they do start to dull slightly, the built-in sharpener works great. They are very well made, no defects at all. We love these new knives, and would buy again. After a month of daily use, they look as good as when they arrived!

THE PRODUCT IS VERY SLEEK LOOKING
WE RECENTLY REMODELED OUR KITCHEN WITH NEW CABINET FRONTS AND ALL NEW APPLIANCES.
WE WENT WITH STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES AND ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THEM SO FAR. I WANTED TO FINED A NEW SET OF CUTLERY AND WHEN MY DAUGHTER FOUND THIS SET ON LINE I WAS SOLD.
I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THEM AND THEY LOOK GREAT IN MY NEW KITCHEN.

This was a great deal for such a good set of knives. But be careful if you're used to not-so-sharp knives...these are super-sharp.

The best knives!!
For the first time, I don't have to "saw" what I am cutting!
I am glad I tried many brands before, because I can say without hesitation these are the be all, end all of knives! They are beautiful and functional and I would recommend them to everyone. Don't waste your money buying other brands, I did that for you!! You can skip straight to Chicago Cutlery and if you don't love yours as much as I love mine, send them to me!! I have no problem taking them off of your hands!! LOL

Was what I expected from Chicago Cutlery!
I have been waiting a long time for this particular set to go on sale, and was thrilled when it did. I am extremely happy with this set of knives. I have had several of Chicago Cultery knives for years and would not buy anything else.

High price, poor craftsmanship
The first set received, knives were fine, block was cut wrong. I called World Kitchen and they immediately sent a whole new set. This time, again, knives are fine, block is cut correctly but the insignia placement is not only off center, it's rotated. Not sure if there is a quality control dept. If not, they need one! I did not call for another replacement, we'll just deal with it. Overall, we love the knives.
